We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support adult learners and apprentices across Maths, English and ESOL at our Waterfront and Pioneer centres. The role involves planning, preparing and delivering group learning activities and identifying individual SEND needs through assessments and inclusion plans.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver group learning activities within and outside the classroom.
  • Identify individual SEND needs through initial assessments and create inclusion plans.
  • Work collaboratively with tutors and other college staff to support a whole-college SEND approach.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and welfare policies.

Qualifications

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Previous experience working in a post‑16 environment with learners with additional learning needs.
  • Effective communication, high aspiration encouragement and change management skills.
