In the role of Lecturer in Hospitality & Catering you will predominantly be based at Huddersfield Centre, Waterfront and your focus will be on delivering interesting & engaging Culinary Skills Lessons, whether in one of our well-equipped training kitchens delivering practical lessons or in the classroom delivering theory to our learners.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging, fun and interesting sessions while assessing outcomes and delivering feedback to learners in a professional manner in line with the awarding body’s criteria and expectations.
- Monitor attendance among other responsibilities outlined in the full job description.
- Level 3 or equivalent in a Professional Cookery Standard (or be able to prove equivalent ability).
- Demonstrable experience in Professional Cookery and the catering industry in general.
- Effective communication and engagement with young people, demonstrating College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Staff development opportunities including a mentoring scheme, financial contributions for external qualifications and skills development for current and aspiring managers.
