At Kirklees College we welcome applications from all sectors. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible tutors who can support learners across a range of ESOL levels and also work within a modern, well‑equipped college environment.
What You Will Do
- Teach on a range of levels from pre‑entry to Level 2.
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, learning resources, and learning and assessment plans.
- Create individual SMART learning targets linked to each learner’s study programme/course.
- Monitor students to achieve their targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
About You
- Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, DELTA) or be willing to work towards it.
- Have a minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g., GCSE English and Maths grade A*–C).
- Have CELTA and experience teaching adults and/or 16‑18‑year‑olds.
- Communicate effectively, be proactive, and possess strong organisational skills.
