Salary: £31.23 per hour

Location: Multiple sites (Huddersfield, Dewsbury and other college sites as required)

Hours: Various – flexible day and evening hours across both Huddersfield and Dewsbury centres.

What You Will Do

  • Teach on a range of levels from pre‑entry to Level 2.
  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, learning resources, and learning and assessment plans.
  • Create individual SMART learning targets linked to each learner’s study programme/course.
  • Monitor students to achieve their targets and develop their skills to enable progression.

About You

  • Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, DELTA) or be willing to work towards it.
  • Have a minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g., GCSE English and Maths grade A*–C).
  • Have CELTA and experience teaching adults and/or 16‑18‑year‑olds.
  • Communicate effectively, be proactive, and possess strong organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
