In the role of Student Community Development Officer you'll predominantly be based at Huddersfield and your focus will be on developing and delivering an appropriate, relevant and student responsive programme of cross college enrichment and character education that is accessible to all students.

Responsibilities
  • Devise, plan and implement a calendar of engaging, student responsive enrichment activities.
  • Provide regular cross-college reports that illustrate engagement with activities.
  • Coordinate student groups to take part in cross-college collaborative initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A‑C or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience in working with young people in an educational or youth work capacity.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate, enthuse and empathise with students / young people.
  • Demonstrate the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
