Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Advisor

Location: Huddersfield & Dewsbury (all LRC sites)

Salary: £24,550 – £24,850 (pro rata)

Hours & Weeks per Year: 15 – 37 hours / 36 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service and front‑line support to students, staff and stakeholders in accessing a variety of learning resources in numerous formats.
  • Assist academic staff in developing resource collections for teaching and learning.
  • Maintain an appropriate learning environment that supports study and promotes the importance of research, literacy, digital literacy and mental health and well‑being.
  • Form effective partnerships with College tutors, support providers/teams, feeder schools and external agencies.
  • Demonstrate the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in customer service, library, IT or an educational setting (or equivalent skills).
  • Ability to adapt positively to change in a rapidly developing sector.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills with learners who have diverse needs and potential barriers to learning.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
