We are looking for a SEND Care Support Officer to join the SEND Department within the Student Support, Development and Inclusion Directorate at Kirklees College.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality personal care and administer medication across the college.
- Work with the SENDCO to ensure appropriate processes are fully embedded and documentation is completed correctly.
- Communicate with external agencies such as schools, occupational health, physiotherapy and other support services to gather essential information.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with young people with SEND and care needs in an educational capacity.
- Knowledge of EHCPs.
- A level 3 qualification in a related area or equivalent ability and demonstrable experience in providing personal care and administering medication.
- The ability to work within a team, communicate effectively and demonstrate the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
