At Kirklees College we are continually striving to be better and do better. You’ll be based predominantly at the Huddersfield Centre and provide administrative support to the College Payroll function.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and guidance for the College's Payroll function
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payments to staff and external agencies
  • Maintain accurate payroll records
  • Collate and verify payroll data, handle pay and expense claims, and prepare payslips
  • Ensure compliance with organisational and statutory requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business
  • Proactively identify service improvements and support annual audits

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Level 2 in Maths and English
  • Level 4 in Accountancy, Payroll or equivalent (or demonstrate equivalent ability)
  • Demonstrable experience in HR and/or Payroll in a large organisation
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Discretion and confidentiality; alignment with College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence
