In the role of Payroll Officer, you'll predominantly be based at the Huddersfield Centre and your focus will be on providing administrative support to the College Payroll function.
Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support and guidance for the College's Payroll function.
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to staff and external agencies, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
- Collating and verifying payroll data.
- Handling pay and expense claims.
- Preparing payslips and ensuring compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business.
- Proactively identifying service improvements.
- Supporting in annual audits.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 in Maths and English.
- Level 4 in Accountancy, Payroll or equivalent (or ability to prove equivalent ability).
- Demonstrable experience in HR and/or Payroll in a large organisation.
- Ability to work autonomously, engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of people, exercise discretion and confidentiality.
- Demonstrate College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
