In the role of Job Coach, you’ll predominantly be based in Dewsbury at the Springfield Sixth Form centre and your focus will be on supporting young people with SEND into employment. You will be working alongside another job coach, a work placement officer and a curriculum lead. You will be responsible for visiting young people with SEND on their work placements and using job coaching techniques to support the young people’s development.
The attached job description gives more detailed information about the responsibilities and requirements of the role. You will need a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy. You will have extensive experience of working with students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities including ASD, as well as experience of working with employers and other external stakeholders and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
