In the role of Head of English and Maths you’ll predominately be based at Dewsbury.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the effective development and delivery of teaching, learning, and assessment within the curriculum areas.
- Support the Curriculum Director in providing an innovative and efficient curriculum offer.
- Oversee student recruitment, retention, attendance, and achievement targets.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staff timetabling to ensure optimal performance.
- Promote outstanding performance through lesson observations, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Ideally, you’ll have a relevant degree (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in a leading role in English and Maths. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people, and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
