Joining Kirkland as a Legal Secretary means becoming a vital member of our practice services network, where you’ll collaborate with a committed team of professionals across multiple offices. This supportive environment is designed to provide our Attorneys with exceptional assistance, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our legal practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage attorney time entries, process expense reports, schedule conference calls, and arrange travel using web-based applications.
- Conduct online research and handle various project-based tasks, including providing personal assistance as needed.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work daily with various departments across the Firm to ensure seamless support for our legal teams, including services like accounting, general services, and meeting coordination.
Legal Document Management: Use software (Microsoft Office 2016, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) to organise and maintain both paper and electronic files in line with Firm policies, using our internal systems. Adhere to Firm policies and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care.
Technology: Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred, along with a willingness to learn new software.
Dependable: Reliable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility for occasional overtime as needed as well as being a continuous team player.
