We’re looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing steel fabrication business in Mansfield. This position is 70% sales and 30% technical, ideal for someone with a background in steel fabrication who’s passionate about business development, relationship building, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, approach and secure new business opportunities within the steel fabrication and engineering sectors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term B2B client relationships.
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Work closely with internal draughting and fabrication teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive client engagement and account management.
- Conduct occasional site visits to assess project feasibility and specifications.
About You:
- Proven sales experience with a track record of winning and growing business.
- Confident in identifying and approaching new customers across multiple sectors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication or related engineering/manufacturing processes.
- Self-motivated, ambitious and driven to deliver results.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
