An exciting opportunity for an experienced Stress Analysis Engineer to support pipeline and energy infrastructure projects across the UK’s growing net-zero sector. The role focuses on pipework stress analysis, with additional work in FEA, fatigue, fracture mechanics and CFD.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pipework stress analysis using CAESAR II.
- Conduct FEA, fatigue, fracture mechanics, and vibration assessments.
- Run CFD simulations for gas flow, dispersion, and ventilation.
- Support hydrogen and COâ‚‚ pipeline assessments to ASME B31.12.
- Produce clear technical reports and mentor junior engineers.
About You
- Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline.
- Strong experience in pipework stress analysis (UK gas industry ideal).
- Skilled with CAESAR II and recognised FEA tools.
- Knowledge of IGEM, ASME, BS, PSR, PSSR, CDM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Chartered or working toward chartership (preferred).
