Our leading client, based in Castle Donington, is looking for a Stores Person to join their parts team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work independently. Good communication skills over phone and email are essential.
Working hours: Monday to Friday during daytime, with an early finish on Fridays. The role offers 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, with a salary of Β£27,000 plus an annual profit-related bonus. Reduced hours can be considered, with pro-rata salary.
Stores Person β The Role:
- Receiving orders and providing quotations
- Assisting customers with parts selection
- Picking, packing, and preparing goods
- Dispatching goods in a timely and accurate manner
- Raising delivery notes and invoices
- Using computerized stock systems
- General stores duties and inventory management
Stores Person β The Candidate:
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of stock systems and basic Excel skills
- Experience with engineering products is beneficial but not essential
- FLT experience is beneficial; training will be provided if not
- Good telephone manner
- Practical skills and good physical condition
- Willing to work some overtime if needed
- Some heavy lifting involved
