Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Nottinghamshire Salary: c. a. £70,000, depending on experience Working arrangements: Hybrid working

Kirkland Associates is recruiting for an engineering consultancy specialising in the energy sector.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the design of high-pressure pipeline and associated plant systems.

This opportunity would suit an experienced electrical design engineer who enjoys technically challenging projects, working collaboratively and taking responsibility for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Role

Produce electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.

Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed budgets and timescales.

Attend client meetings, design reviews and safety assessments.

Support equipment selection, procurement and project estimates.

Visit sites when required and support the development of colleagues.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Person

Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership.

Electrical design experience within utilities, pipelines or a related industrial sector.

Good working knowledge of BS 7671 and associated standards.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Knowledge of Amtech/Trimble Pro Design, Auto CAD, ATEX/DSEAR, earthing, lightning protection or control and instrumentation systems would be advantageous, as would C&G 2396.
