Salary: c.a. £70,000, depending on experience

Kirkland Associates is recruiting for an engineering consultancy specialising in the energy sector. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the design of high-pressure pipeline and associated plant systems.

This opportunity would suit an experienced electrical design engineer who enjoys technically challenging projects, working collaboratively and taking responsibility for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

• Produce electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects within agreed budgets and timescales.
• Attend client meetings, design reviews and safety assessments.
• Support equipment selection, procurement and project estimates.
• Visit sites when required and support the development of colleagues.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership.
• Electrical design experience within utilities, pipelines or a related industrial sector.
• Good working knowledge of BS 7671 and associated standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, AutoCAD, ATEX/DSEAR, earthing, lightning protection or control and instrumentation systems would be advantageous, as would C&G 2396.
