Job Description

My client are seeking a HR Coordinator to join their team based in Castle Donington.

This is a full-time, office based role.

You will provide efficient, accurate, and professional support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR processes are delivered consistently, compliantly, and to a high standard.

Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, the role supports employees, managers, and the wider business while maintaining HR systems, coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, and delivering an excellent employee experience.

Working closely with managers and the HR team, you will support recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, compliance, and reporting activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes, including starters, leavers, and contractual updates.
  • Produce HR reports and management information.
  • Ensure HR documentation, personnel files, and records remain compliant and audit-ready.
  • Support HR audits, data protection, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Coordinate recruitment administration from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
  • Prepare job adverts, interview packs, offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
  • Manage candidate communications, interview scheduling, and recruitment tracking.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks, including references and right-to-work verification.
  • Coordinate induction schedules and support a positive candidate and new starter experience.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries.
  • Support managers with HR administration and documentation.
  • Assist with absence, holiday, wellbeing, and employee relations administration.
  • Maintain accurate records and escalate complex issues where appropriate.
  • Ensure HR processes comply with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Support policy reviews, governance activities, and GDPR compliance.
  • Contribute to HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and process improvements.

The Candidate

  • Previous HR administration or coordination experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Customer-focused approach with effective workload prioritisation skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with Breathe HR or similar HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Recruitment administration experience.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards one.
