Conveyancer Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Conveyancer to join our client's team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for clients.
This role is open to candidates who are qualified by experience or through formal legal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold matters.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
- Conduct property searches, liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
- Manage the exchange of contracts and completion process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property law and conveyancing practices.
- Use case management systems to ensure efficient workflow.
- Provide excellent client service, addressing any queries promptly and professionally.
- Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive (CILEx) OR extensive experience in a similar residential conveyancing role.
- Strong knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently.
