An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious finance professional to join a rapidly growing organisation based in Long Eaton.

This is a key Financial Controller role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the finance function, improve processes, and play a key part in the future growth of the business.

Over time, the role will develop into a key leadership position, acting as a trusted finance partner to the senior management team and supporting wider commercial decision-making.

The Opportunity

The business is looking for someone who can bring together the different areas of finance, strengthen controls, improve reporting, and introduce scalable processes to support continued growth.

Initially, you will spend time understanding the business, reviewing current ways of working, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring the finance function is operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of financial reporting and insight.
• Improve processes, controls, and ways of working.
• Provide meaningful management information to support decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, providing advice and challenge.
• Help develop a scalable finance function across multiple entities.

About You

This role would suit an experienced Financial Controller or someone stepping up into a broader finance leadership position. You will ideally have:

• Experience operating at FC level or above.
• Strong technical finance knowledge and reporting experience.
• Experience working across multiple entities or complex environments.
• A track record of improving processes and creating efficiencies.
• The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and manage upwards.
• A proactive, commercial, and solutions-focused approach.

Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are desirable, although relevant experience will be highly valued.
