About the Role

As an HLTA, you’ll be a vital part of the learning journey — helping to deliver high-quality education and supporting the emotional and academic growth of our pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored lessons and targeted support under the guidance of teaching staff
  • Lead the class in the teacher’s absence, keeping learning on track
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning for all pupils
  • Mentor and guide Teaching Assistants, building a strong, collaborative support team
  • Create exciting resources that spark curiosity and engage learners
  • Track and report on progress, helping shape next steps for every child
  • Champion pupil welfare and safeguarding, making sure every child feels safe, seen, and supported
