We are looking for a Teacher of Maths (with Key Stage 5 Specialism) to join our dynamic Mathematics department at Kirk Hallam Community Academy, starting in September 2026. You will be joining us at an exciting and pivotal time in our journey of improvement. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner, teaching key stages 3, 4 and 5, who will embrace our ‘Work Hard- Be Kind’ ethos. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and a role model who fosters a culture of high expectations and support. They will have the skills to motivate and engage students, and a relentless ambition to enrich lives and provide transformational learning experiences for our young people, in both our main school and our sixth form provision.

Responsibilities

  • Teach maths to key stages 3, 4 and 5, including Key Stage 5 with specialism.
  • Promote high standards of achievement and behaviour and foster a culture of high expectations and support.
  • Motivate and engage students and provide transformational learning experiences for our young people.
  • Contribute to the development of the mathematics department and sixth form provision.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong communication skills.
  • Experience teaching across key stages 3, 4 and 5, with KS5 specialism.
  • Ability to be a role model and support a positive school ethos.
