Driver Support Services are seeking a dedicated Class 1 Tipper Driver to join our transportation team.
This role involves operating heavy-duty tipper truck to transport and deliver waste efficiently and safely across various locations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and experience handling commercial vehicles.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our logistics operations while maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability.
Responsibilities Operate Class 1 Tipper trucks in accordance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Transport waste from and to customers Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects promptly.
Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to schedules and route plans.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary, following safety procedures.
Comply with all traffic laws, weight restrictions, and environmental regulations during operations.
Collaborate with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues for prompt resolution.
Skills Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with flatbed or tipper trucks preferred.
Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and road safety regulations.
Experience with delivery driving in a construction or industrial environment is advantageous.
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
