Key Responsibilities
- Design HV substation protection and control systems for transformers, transmission lines, busbars, and switchgear.
- Develop protection philosophies, relay settings, control schematics, and interlocking schemes.
- Support SCADA integration, communication architectures, and IEC 61850-based solutions.
- Perform protection coordination, fault analysis, and system studies.
- Produce and review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review third-party designs and ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in HV Substation Protection & Control design.
- Strong understanding of power system protection, control, and substation automation.
- Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ANSI standards and IEC 61850 protocols.
- Experience with power system and design software such as ETAP, DIg SILENT, EPLAN, Helinks, or similar.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills.
