  • Graduate Civil Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
  • Assist with the measurement and valuation of civil engineering works.
  • Support the preparation of interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Site Engineers to monitor project progress.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial reports for project management.
  • Maintain accurate records of costs, variations and contractual documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of subcontractor accounts and payments.
  • Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism and a willingness to learn.
  • Necessary Requirements of the Graduate Civil Quantity Surveyor
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant work placement or internship experience would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent record keeping and administration skills.
  • Desired Competencies / Special Role Requirements
  • Understanding of quantity surveying principles and cost control procedures.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and project specifications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
