Job Purpose: Design and implement meaningful and challenging learning experiences aligned with national (SEP) and international (IB) curricula, fostering students' academic, personal, and social development in a safe, ethical, and collaborative environment, while preparing them for advanced studies and future career paths.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate Biology lessons aligned with SEP and IB curricula, using diverse strategies, assessing student performance, and supporting different learning needs while promoting critical thinking.
- Teach high-quality classes, maintain a safe and organized classroom, manage lab materials, and supervise students throughout the school day.
- Plan lessons, collaborate with colleagues, adapt resources, assess progress, and participate in meetings and school activities.
- Adjust instruction based on student progress, apply varied assessment methods, record grades, and supervise student behavior during events.
- Comply with school policies, update IB plans, complete professional development, and fulfill end-of-year requirements.
Administrative: Keep accurate records, communicate student progress, participate in meetings, and ensure confidentiality.
Operational: Manage classroom behavior, supervise students, report incidents, attend IB training, and maintain professional and ethical standards.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field (aligned with SEP and IB requirements).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in Biology or a related subject. Experience in differentiated instruction and multiple learning styles.
