We are looking for an Import Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing import and export customs declarations, issuing clearance instructions, entering and managing data, and communicating effectively with clients to ensure a smooth customs clearance process. This is a remote working opportunity allowing you to fully work from home. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and submit import and export customs declarations in CDS. * Issue clearance instructions to agents and freight forwarders tailored to each of our clients and ensure compliance with HMRC. * Communicate with clients to provide updates, request information, and resolve any customs-related issues. * Accurately enter data into customs clearance systems and maintain records. * Work closely with our internal team to ensure accurate and efficient customs processing. Key Skills & Experience: * Previous experience in customs clearance required. * Basic knowledge of UK import/export regulations. * Familiarity with completing declarations in CDS. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. * Strong communication, interpersonal and organisation skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Problem solving skills and initiative. * Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and similar software.
