We are working with a well-established pump rental provider delivering temporary and engineered pumping solutions across the construction, water, and environmental sectors nationwide. They are now seeking a Regional Account Manager to support customers across the North East, based from the Middlesbrough area. This is a field-based account management role focused on building long-term relationships with Water Authority, Tier 1, and Tier 2 contractor customers, identifying project opportunities, and providing commercially sound pumping solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop key regional accounts across the North East
  • Support Water Authority and Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractor customers with project requirements
  • Build strong long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and site teams
  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue across existing and new customer accounts
  • Produce accurate job pricing and quotations through the hire system
  • Own the quotation process, ensuring follow-up is completed quickly and professionally
  • Carry out site surveys and gather information to support technical and commercial solutions
  • Work closely with internal hire, sales, operations, and technical solutions teams
  • Maintain strong product knowledge across pump hire, installations, and related services

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven sales or account management experience
  • Background in hire, rental, construction, utilities, water, or related sectors
  • Experience developing new accounts and growing existing accounts
  • Experience in field-based sales with customer site visits
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a long-term account management approach
  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify profitable opportunities
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously across a regional patch
  • Strong communication, planning, and time management skills
  • Full UK driving licence
