We are working with a respected multi-disciplinary Design & Build consultancy based in Chichester. They are seeking to appoint a Head of Building Surveying to lead and develop its Building Surveying function. Working across Commercial, Industrial and specialist Defence sectors, the business delivers integrated design, technical consultancy and project delivery services. This is a senior leadership role combining technical oversight, client management, team development, and business growth.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Building Surveying function
  • Manage and mentor Building Surveyors within the team
  • Oversee projects from initial instruction through to completion
  • Maintain and develop key client relationships
  • Support business development and new project opportunities
  • Lead surveys, specifications, refurbishment and project delivery
  • Oversee tendering, contract administration and site inspections
  • Ensure projects meet RICS, regulatory and company standards
  • Work closely with Architecture, Engineering, and wider design teams

Skills & Experience Required:

  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor
  • Significant Building Surveying experience within a consultancy environment
  • Experience at Associate, Associate Director, Head of Building Surveying or, Director level
  • Strong technical and project delivery experience
  • Experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong client-facing and commercial skills
  • Experience supporting business development and client growth
  • Excellent knowledge of building regulations and construction standards
  • Full UK driving licence

Summary:

  • Position: Head of Building Surveying

  • Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Company Vehicle + Benefits - Full flexibility for the right candidate
