We are working with a specialist provider of domestic ventilation solutions supporting social housing and residential properties. They are seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to join a growing field-based team covering Crawley and surrounding areas, carrying out installation, maintenance and repair work within occupied domestic environments. This role would suit a practical, customer-focused Electrician who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving and working independently across multiple locations. Full ventilation training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified Engineer looking to develop into a specialist field-based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain domestic ventilation systems across social housing and residential properties.
- Carry out inspections, repairs and fault finding on existing systems, ensuring safe and effective operation.
- Complete installation work including drilling, fitting, electrical testing and practical on-site problem solving.
- Work within occupied homes, maintaining a professional, respectful and customer-focused approach.
- Complete all job documentation, photographs, certification and updates using company systems and tablets.
- Manage van stock, tools and materials to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and without delay.
- Maintain company tools, vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance and safe operation.
- Work closely with scheduling and operational teams to manage workloads and maintain service standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and company standards.
- Support a high-quality customer experience through professional communication and workmanship.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within domestic electrical installations or residential environments.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and NVQ in Electrical Installation preferred.
- 18th Edition qualification advantageous.
- Strong practical installation skills including fault finding, fitting, drilling and problem solving.
- Experience working within occupied properties or customer-facing environments desirable.
- Previous experience with ventilation systems, extractor fans or similar equipment beneficial, though full training will be provided.
- Able to work independently, manage workloads and organise daily activity effectively.
- Comfortable using tablets and digital systems to complete paperwork, certification and job updates.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
