We are working with a well-established pump rental provider delivering temporary and engineered pumping solutions across the construction, water, and environmental sectors nationwide. They are now seeking a Territory Manager to drive business growth across the Midlands region, ideally based around Burton on Trent or the wider Wolverhampton area. This is a field-based sales role focused on developing new and existing client relationships, identifying project opportunities, and delivering technically sound pumping solutions that maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow a portfolio of clients across the Midlands region
- Build strong relationships with customers through regular site visits and meetings
- Identify new project opportunities and engage early to understand customer requirements
- Promote pumping solutions and match products to specific client applications
- Manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion including technical and commercial aspects
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations balancing profitability and long-term relationships
- Monitor customer spend and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams including operations, hire desk, and technical solutions
- Deliver professional presentations and maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Maintain accurate sales data and reporting through internal systems
- Ensure all activities align with health and safety and company procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a field-based sales role within hire, construction, water, or related industries
- Strong commercial awareness with experience driving growth and profitability
- Ability to build relationships and influence customers at all levels
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to present professionally
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and driven to exceed targets
- IT literate with experience using CRM or sales systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of pump hire or equipment hire advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands region
