Yardperson / LGV Relief Driver | Bracknell | £42,000 to £50,000 Including Overtime + Benefits A busy pump rental operation in Bracknell is looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join the team in a varied position combining practical yard work with LGV and HIAB driving cover.

Most of your time will be spent in the yard, preparing equipment, loading vehicles and supporting the branch team.

When driving cover is required, you'll deliver and collect pumps and associated equipment from customer sites, using a lorry mounted crane where required.

The role requires someone with a Class 2 licence and HIAB qualification who enjoys practical work and is equally comfortable working in the yard as they are getting behind the wheel.

  • Work within the yard for the majority of the week, keeping equipment, workshops and working areas clean, safe and organised.
  • Load and unload vehicles, check equipment against paperwork and identify missing or damaged items.
  • Clean and prepare pumps and hire equipment using pressure and steam cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain hoses and accessories, including cleaning, testing, rolling and organising equipment ready for use.
  • Support fitting staff with lifting, moving and preparing equipment within the depot or on customer sites.
  • Provide LGV driving cover for holidays, sickness and periods of increased workload.
  • Deliver and collect pumps and associated equipment between the Bracknell branch and customer sites.
  • Safely load, secure and unload equipment, including using a lorry mounted crane.
  • Complete daily vehicle and defect checks and maintain the required driving records.
  • Communicate with customers and the branch regarding deliveries, collections, ETAs and equipment. Skills & Experience Required
  • Full LGV Class 2 licence with no more than six points.
  • HIAB or appropriate lorry loader crane qualification.
  • Previous LGV driving experience within a similar practical, plant, hire, construction or industrial environment.
  • Good hands on skills and comfortable with the physical requirements of loading, unloading and yard work.
  • Good understanding of Tachograph, Drivers' Hours and Working Time requirements.
  • Reliable and organised, with a strong focus on safe working.
  • Good communication skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
  • Forklift licence beneficial, with training available if required.
  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card where applicable.
