Electrical Supervisor | Stoke | £49,000 to £55,000 including Overtime + Van + Benefits A growing electrical division within one of the UK's leading pump rental businesses is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to lead its regional team from Stoke. This is a hands on supervisory role, combining your electrical knowledge with responsibility for planning workloads, supporting electricians and making sure installations, testing and equipment are delivered safely and to the right standard. You'll initially manage a small mobile team across Stoke and Nottingham, with scope for the team to grow as the electrical division expands. The role requires a qualified Electrician with an ECS Gold Card and proven supervisory experience, someone comfortable leading other qualified electricians while remaining technically involved when support is needed. What The Role Offers * £49,000 to £55,000 Including Overtime + Van + Benefits * Enhanced overtime rates * Company van * Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week * Opportunity to lead a growing regional electrical team * Varied work across electrical installations, equipment hire and customer sites * 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays * Pension based on total earnings * Medicash healthcare scheme and life assurance * Training, development and wider employee benefits What You Will Be Doing * Lead and supervise qualified mobile electricians across Stoke, Nottingham and the wider region, managing workloads, performance and development. * Plan and schedule electrical work and resources to ensure installations, inspections, maintenance and repairs are completed safely and on time. * Provide technical support to the electrical team, helping troubleshoot issues with installations, motors, control panels and associated equipment. * Ensure electrical installations and testing meet BS 7671 requirements, with accurate certification and records completed by the team. * Manage the electrical requirements of a key customer contract, coordinating activity and resolving operational or customer issues quickly. * Maintain high standards of electrical safety, quality and compliance, including safe systems of work, risk assessments and SHEQ requirements. * Work closely with Branch Managers, Hire teams and wider operational teams to ensure electrical equipment and resources are available when required. * Travel between Stoke, Nottingham and other regional locations as the electrical team develops. Skills & Experience Required * ECS Gold Card with Installation Electrician classification is essential. * Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. * Proven experience supervising or line managing qualified electricians. * Strong practical electrical experience, ideally including motors, control panels, electrical installations and testing. * Good understanding of BS 7671 and electrical health and safety requirements. * City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent would be advantageous. * IOSH Managing Safely, SSSTS or similar safety qualifications would be beneficial. * Organised and confident planning work across a busy electrical team. * Strong communication, problem solving and decision making skills. * Full UK Driving Licence with six points or fewer and willingness to travel across the region.
