We are seeking to appoint a Mobile Mechanical Fitter to join a growing and stable team, providing exceptional service and maintenance support for pump rental equipment across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role that involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of diesel pumps and ancillary equipment on customer sites, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect pump rental equipment, perform fault diagnosis, and carry out necessary repairs on customer sites.

Conduct preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Carry out regular servicing of diesel pumps and ancillary equipment as directed.

Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer specifications and is completed effectively and efficiently.

Identify recurring equipment issues and proactively suggest improvements to processes.

Maintain accurate records of completed work, downtime, and repair causes using provided technology.

Perform daily maintenance checks on the company vehicle, keeping it clean and operational.

Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, ensuring relevant PPE is worn at all times.

Occasionally cover Workshop Fitter duties during periods of absence.

Support the team by working overtime when required.
This position is ideal for someone with proven mechanical experience, a proactive attitude, and the flexibility to work in a mobile capacity across various sites.

Proven experience working in a similar Mechanical Fitting environment with a sound understanding of on-site safety.

Awareness of isolation and safe systems of work requirements.

A proactive, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Flexibility to travel around Birmingham & surrounding areas to meet business demands.

Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) and over 21 years of age (for insurance purposes).

Qualified to ONC/ HND or above in a similar Mechanical Engineering discipline.
