Linde Material Handling is part of the KION Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of forklift trucks and other warehouse and material handling equipment. We are currently looking for an experienced sales manager to take on the Area Sales Manager role in the N, W, HA, NW, EC, SW, UB, WD postcodes, following a recent internal promotion within our highly successful team.
The main focus of the role is to maximise our share of all business opportunities (new, used, rentals, aftermarket) by selling within a specified geographical area, the full range of Linde Material Handling Equipment, and to present targets agreed with the Sales Director. Working together with other departments, the Area Sales Manager will ensure agreed service levels are maintained and customers retained.
We are looking for a commercially focused individual, working in the Ken area, who can:
- Identify and promote all business opportunities including new trucks, short term rental, operator training, and used trucks within a specified territory.
- Sell the complete range of market leading Linde new and used equipment to all business types.
- Provide innovative strategies and tactics to secure and win profitable business.
- Maintain relationships and further develop business opportunities with existing customers.
- Ensure sufficient contact is made at all levels within a customer/prospect account as part of a development strategy.
- Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings as part of a highly motivated and successful team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Direct sales experience, ideally capital goods equipment or logistics.
- Product, sector and industry knowledge, commercially minded.
- Knowledge of storage and logistics systems.
- Understanding of marketing principles and account planning processes.
You will be:
- Able to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
- Numerically competent.
- PC literate.
