- As a Maintenance Assistant you will be...
- Carry out first line response to faults, blockages and issues on or around automated material handling equipment.
- Carry out tasks under limited supervision within approved guidelines and follow Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Receive and complete work orders within planned or reactive work assignments.
- Resolve faults/blockages/issues within agreed timescales to ensure service delivery.
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
- Assist the Maintenance Technician with daily maintenance tasks and help them resolve breakdowns.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain customer relations.
- Be proactive to help with efficiency of the system and reduce breakdowns.
- Contribute to the team.
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical machinery is desirable.
- Experience of working in a warehouse or automated environment.
- Fair/Good IT skills.
- Good communication, numeracy and written skills and a strong customer focus.
- Strong Health & Safety mindset.
