Tasks and Qualifications

Linde Workshop Engineers play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of material handling equipment, including forklifts and other heavy machinery. You will conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will be based at one of our depots, serving Linde forklifts and other state‑of‑the‑art material handling equipment while forging strong relationships with customers and delivering exceptional service.

The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of products, from small electric pallet trucks to very narrow‑aisle and large engine‑powered counterbalance trucks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing pre‑delivery inspections
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance

We are interested in candidates with experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly those who have worked as forklift technicians, plant fitters, or vehicle technicians. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.

  • Ideally you have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), but this is not essential.
  • You are comfortable using IT equipment and maintaining accurate records.
  • You hold a full UK driving licence.
  • You can work autonomously and as part of a team.
