Exciting career opportunity as a Field Service Engineer at Linde Material Handling in the SY/CW area. Linde Material Handling is a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to join the team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will work with a diverse range of products—from agile pallet trucks to counterbalance machines, very narrow aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated solutions—delivering high-quality field service and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure peak efficiency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and essential check-ups to keep the fleet running smoothly.
  • Travel to various customer locations to service equipment and build strong customer relationships.
  • Operate safely and professionally, following company policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanical engineer, with forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, or vehicle technician roles preferred.
  • Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), though this is not essential.
  • Comfortable using IT equipment to record data and place orders, as the role uses modern technology.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
