Asset Controller - North Region covering Bolton and local depots.

- To ensure that we have a sufficient available Ready to Go fleet to meet our customers' demand for both Short Term Rental and End User Used Trucks sales.
- Maximise logistical flow by ensuring we are steering product in line with the company guidelines.
- Managing depot capacity to maximise productivity at a local level and support One UK Fleet principal.
- Maximise utilisation while managing overstock in collaboration with One fleet approach.
- Ensure we work closely with Service Teams to maximise customer satisfaction.
- Effective contribution to both Regional and UK wide Renewal Process.
Tasks:
- Ensure Condition reporting completed as per company guidelines.
- Maintain Local Ready to Go targets for both Used End User Used Equipment & Short-Term Rental.
- Assist with the maintenance planning optimising fleet utilisation and fleet profile ensuring the fleets size and numbers are in line with market requirements and utilisation targets.
- Provide local intelligence to Head Office to support fleet additions / disposals and secure the overall one fleet way of working.
- Work closely with the Asset Management team to maintain the One UK Fleet concept.
- Provide daily active fleet management to ensure the right equipment mix and configuration to meet internal and customer demand.
- Ensure truck specifications are accurately reflected in the system including any specification changes.
- Assist in the control of costs associated with workshop repairs transport costs and depreciation.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policy and meet with our KION Code of Compliance.
- Physical check of all available Ready to Go Assets against target Asset status and follow up.
- Ensuring IT system is maintained and replicates Physical environment.
- Review of Storage capacity (Green Ok Amber flag to regional Asset Director Red Flag to Head of Asset Management including monthly projected volumes).
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend and effectively contribute to both Regional and UK wide Renewals Meeting and plan for asset returns.
- Attend weekly workshop production meeting share KPIs for previous week and agree weekly plan.
- Review Peak / Hire requirements with Rental Representatives & Regional Asset Directors feed into Local Weekly workshop production meetings.
- Sourcing of End User Used Trucks ensuring sales team have suitable asset pool.
- Stock checks in line with company process.
