Exciting Career Opportunity as a Sustainability Manager for KION ITS UK&I. KION ITS, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is seeking a skilled Sustainability Manager to join our QHSE team. This is a new role which has been created to drive sustainability initiatives across our industrial trucks operations, ensuring environmental compliance, reducing our carbon footprint, and integrating sustainable practices into our products, supply chain, and workplace.

We offer:Sustainability Strategy and Compliance
- Develop and implement a sustainability roadmap aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, and ISO standards (e.g: ISO 14001)
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and life cycle analyses (LCA) for operations, and supply chain
- Monitor and report on COâ‚‚ emissions, energy efficiency, water usage, and waste reduction efforts via Cority and communicate status to internal stakeholders
- Complete environmental audits on sites to identify best practice and opportunities for improvement
Operational & Environmental Initiatives
- Develop and manage waste management metrics and circular economy projects, promoting recycling and material reuse
- Align sustainability with workplace safety and well-being initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to drive sustainable practices across the supply chain
- Prepare sustainability reports, maintain ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) metrics, and contribute to corporate disclosures (e.g., GRI, CDP, TCFD)
- Promote sustainability awareness among employees through training, workshops, and internal campaigns
- Represent the company in industry associations, sustainability forums, and certification programs
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement new technologies that enhance sustainability in manufacturing, logistics, and fleet operations
- Research and apply for grants, incentives, and funding opportunities related to green initiatives
- Monitor industry trends, competitor sustainability practices, and emerging regulations to keep the company ahead in sustainability leadership
Tasks and Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Minimum of ISEP Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management
- Ideally Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related role, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environment
- Experience working within QHSE frameworks, particularly ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
