We\โre looking for an AV Technician to START IMMEDIATELY to work across multiple hospitality venues in Swindon, ensuring top-tier audio and visual effects that keep the party alive YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK LATE NIGHTS UNTIL 6AM
THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE WITH WEEKEND AVAILABILITY BEING ESSENTIAL. THIS ROLE IS 15-25 HOURS PER WEEK, VARIABLE. THE ROLE WILL BE MOST SUITED TO SOMEONE LOOKING FOR AN EXTRA PART-TIME JOB AT WEEKENDS, PERHAPS SUPPORTING THEIR FULL TIME POSITION ELSEWHERE.
About the Role:
As an AV Technician, you\โll be responsible for setting up, maintaining and operating lighting and sound equipment across multiple nightclub venues in Swindon.
You\โll work closely with venue managers and the lead Tech to play a key role in creating an immersive atmosphere, whilst working alongside DJs and performers to deliver unforgettable nights.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain professional sound and lighting systems in multiple venues.

Work closely with DJs and live acts to execute live shows with dynamic lighting and professionally treated sound.

Fulfil technical riders for performers including renting extra equipment.

Assist & liaise with production companies to install / repair systems.

Program and control DMX systems and special effects to match the music and event themes.

Monitor and adjust sound levels for optimal quality across the venue.

Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to ensure smooth-running events.

Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment before and after events.

Ensuring compliance with any sound constraints the venues may have, undertaking and logging the necessary noise level checks.
What We\โre Looking For:

Previous experience in nightclubs, live events, festivals, or concert sound and lighting.

Proficiency with lighting consoles, DMX controllers, and professional audio equipment.

Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.

Flexible availability โ including late nights, weekends, and event-based schedules.

A passion for music, nightlife, and high-quality production.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Essential):
Experience with Pioneer DJ equipment and live mixing. Experience using programs Such as MadMapper, Quickshow, LED Player. Experience working with professional light & sound desks (using brands such as ChamSys, Behringer, Allen & Heath) Knowledge of video projection and LED screen setups.
