About Us
Mercer & Hughes is a well‑established group of small animal veterinary practices with a central hub in Saffron Walden and three supporting branches. As part of the wider Kin Vet Community, our teams work collaboratively to deliver exceptional care for pets and their owners.
The Role
Our Client Support Administrators are the first point of contact for clients, ensuring every interaction is warm, supportive and highly professional. You’ll help keep the practice running smoothly by managing appointments, maintaining high front‑of‑house standards, and supporting clients throughout their visit. This role may involve working across any of the Mercer & Hughes sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Appointment booking — ensuring diaries are filled promptly and accurately
- Client follow‑ups — rebooking missed appointments and following up on unactioned estimates
- Payments & admin — taking payments in line with company policy and booking follow‑ups
- Health Care Plan promotion — supporting client understanding of the Kin Vet Community plan
- Client record management — keeping insurance, contact details and patient weights up to date
- Insurance compliance — managing claims in line with company policy
- Reception standards — maintaining a clean, welcoming reception area
- Inbox management — responding warmly and promptly to incoming emails
