In this dynamic role, you’ll lead key strategies that help pharmaceutical and biotech clients succeed in the challenging UK and Irish access environments—optimising product value, unlocking reimbursement, and driving market access for cutting-edge therapies. Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll shape evidence-based solutions tailored to ever-evolving healthcare systems, policy trends, and HTA requirements. Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design and execution of market access and pricing strategies, working directly on projects, providing expert strategic and technical oversight, and strategic input and direction to a range of HTA submission, market access and pricing projects for pharmaceutical and biotech products launching into the UK and Ireland.
- Deliver projects to the standards of professional and technical excellence that we pride ourselves on within the business; this will involve you in providing regular line management, mentorship and oversight of the team, and the effective use of our existing project management online systems.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, offer solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Lead on the more complex projects, guiding and supporting junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge development and thought leadership.
- Monitor and interpret changes in healthcare policy, pricing regulations, and HTA methodologies in the UK and Ireland.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with clients, HTA and regulatory bodies, policy makers, health systems, and other key stakeholders.
- Drive new business development (up-selling and cross-selling) through proactive engagement, proposal development, and collaboration with commercial team and across European delivery teams.
- Contribute to thought leadership by developing insights, publications, or presentations on key market access trends.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance visibility and market presence.
- Advanced degree in life sciences, health economics, public health, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in market access within a consultancy, additional experience in a pharmaceutical company or academic setting a plus.
- Strong knowledge of UK and Irish HTA bodies and reimbursement processes.
- Significant experience in developing and presenting HTA strategy options and recommendations to clients.
- Experience in leading, technical delivery, and providing strategic input to the design and operational development of clinical dossiers and pricing strategy.
- Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills.
- Must be fluent in English, with professional proficiency in verbal and written communications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with Project Management software (e.g. Kantata).
- Experience with proposal writing, lead research tools, and business reporting platforms.
- Must have right to work in the UK or Ireland.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional, multi-national teams, with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
