As a Senior Designer, you will support the Lead Designer in delivering high-quality, coordinated civil and structural design packages within agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and model underground services in E3D, including drainage, firewater, potable water, and cable trenches.
- Produce composite drawings showing all underground services.
- Model and produce drawings for paving, access roads, haul roads, and service roads.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior designers.
- Manage a team of designers located overseas.
- Create project-specific job notes, guides, and training materials.
- Organize design schedules and allocate resources to meet project deadlines.
- Break down project tasks and estimate resources for deliverables.
- Generate regular progress reports for tracking MTO, weights, etc.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Formal qualification in Civil or Structural Design.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
- Proficient in E3D design software.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior designers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Office-based role.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with structural catalogues and specifications in SmartPlant 3D.
- Ability to develop structural templates and configure drawing administration in SmartPlant 3D.
- Customization experience using PML or C# is a plus.
- Experience in setting up project-specific symbols, logos, and backing sheets.
