This role suits an experienced engineer ready to step up into a more senior position, delivering instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering support across the full project lifecycle in high-hazard environments.
Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver instrumentation and control system design in line with engineering standards and safety requirements.
- Contribute to the complete engineering lifecycle – from concept through installation and commissioning.
- Lead or participate in technical risk assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and RAMS studies.
- Oversee procurement activities including specification development, technical evaluation, and supplier coordination.
- Provide field engineering support for troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Ensure hazardous area instrumentation complies with design and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and guide contractors during design and construction phases.
- Support control systems programming and ensure adherence to industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Instrumentation, Control, or a relevant discipline.
- CompEx 12A & 12B preferred for hazardous area competency.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in I&C engineering design.
- Proven experience across design, installation, commissioning phases.
- Strong understanding of hazardous area design and compliance.
- Solid knowledge of control systems programming and integration.
- Experience managing contractors and interfacing with cross-functional teams.
