Senior CAD Designer – Aberdeen An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior CAD Designer to join a specialist team in Aberdeen, working on a wide range of technically challenging projects in the global energy sector. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to contribute to the design of subsea structures and pipeline systems, within a forward-thinking and collaborative engineering environment. About the Role You will be responsible for developing high-quality 3D models and technical drawings for complex subsea systems. This position demands a strong eye for detail, a proactive approach to solving design challenges, and close collaboration with engineering and project teams to ensure design accuracy and delivery to specification. Key Responsibilities Develop 3D models and technical drawings for piping and structural subsea systems Prepare detailed documentation to support engineering and fabrication activities Ensure all design outputs comply with internal standards and industry regulations Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret and refine technical requirements Identify and resolve design issues during development phases Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy in all deliverables Apply revisions and updates based on feedback and evolving project needs Support continuous improvement in design workflows and practices What We\’re Looking For Proven experience in producing detailed 3D CAD models for subsea or offshore applications Strong understanding of structural and piping design principles Competency with industry-standard CAD software and design tools Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail A proactive communicator who can deliver under tight deadlines Strong knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and best practices This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to technically advanced projects in a dynamic and supportive environment.
