Key Responsibilities
- Delivering mechanical engineering design across water and wastewater projects
- Producing calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation
- Leading coordination with designers, CAD technicians, and multidisciplinary teams
- Managing interfaces with suppliers, contractors, and third-party design teams
- Supporting equipment selection, technical reviews, and tender evaluations
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements
- Managing technical risk, design changes, and engineering quality
- Supporting project planning, estimation, and programme delivery
- Attending technical, design, and client review meetings
Requirements
- Strong mechanical design experience within the UK water sector
- Experience across clean water and wastewater treatment projects
- Knowledge of pumps, pipework, treatment processes, and associated mechanical systems
- Experience supporting outline and detailed design delivery
- Understanding of construction methods and engineering best practices
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience preferred
- Degree, HND, or equivalent engineering background
