Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer – Permanent £60k – £70k plus benefits

We are looking to recruit for a Global Operator that offers great training and career progression.

Responsibilities:

  • Design – Design experience (>2 years) either in instrumentation (preferred) & control, utilizing basic engineering drawings relating to the C&I discipline.
  • Hazardous Areas – Design of electrical equipment installed within hazardous areas, certified CompEx 12A & 12B or demonstrable experience of following the same processes without the certification.
  • Functional Safety – Design of safety instrumented systems & safety instrumented functions, SIL verification calculations, certified TUV or demonstrable experience of following the same processes without the certification.
  • Engineering life cycle – Directly involved in or some combination of front end design, EPC, installation & commissioning.
  • Control Systems – Programming or good understanding of at least two of the five programming languages per standards and how they are applied in industry.
  • Risk management – HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, Permit to Work, RAMS.
  • Contractor management – Work specifications, developing & agreeing contracts, supervising.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possess an HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering field or demonstrate working towards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making, whilst being pro-active in achieving positive results.
