The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

The candidate will be part of the UK Materials & Corrosion team and will work with the MACO PDL in supporting the review of SURF deliverables from multiple contractors as part of a competitive FEED. The candidate shall have detail design experience in the selection and testing of materials to ensure their integrity, durability, and safety in offshore oil and gas production systems (SPS) and Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF).

Responsibilities

  • Project discipline management: Planning of activities and the review of deliverables.
  • Recording comments within the ASSAI document management tool.
  • Periodical reporting of progress.
  • Working with Pipelines, Subsea, Offshore Structures, supporting the review of the deliverables for:
    • Material Selection
    • Welding & NDT
    • Painting & Coating
    • Insulation
    • Chemical Selection (corrosion inhibitors)
  • Input into the TBE.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Materials & Corrosion degree.
  • Experience with Materials & Corrosion requirements for a SURF FEED.
  • Deep knowledge in at least one of the following areas, with general knowledge in the others and familiarity with applicable international standards (DNV, API, ISO, NORSOK, EEMUA, ASME, ASTM, etc):
    • Corrosion mechanisms (H2S, CO2, halides, O2, etc).
    • Subsea material selection and corrosion control.
    • Cathodic protection design.
    • Welding & NDT.
    • Anticorrosion coatings and insulation systems.
  • Experience dealing with multiple contractors from the APAC area.
  • Knowledge of client working practices, standards, and software tools (ECE or others, ASSAI document management) would be an advantage.
