About the Role:

If you're a Senior Instrument Technician ready to step up into real ownership of maintenance, safety, and plant performance, this is a live operational site where that responsibility is genuinely on offer. This permanent opportunity is with an established operator in the energy sector seeking someone to take charge of day-to-day maintenance delivery and plant reliability on a live site.

About the Site:

This is a major site within the energy security infrastructure, operating at a high tempo year-round. The plant follows a seasonal cycle-building up capacity during quieter months and running at peak performance during high-demand winter periods. There is a constant pipeline of maintenance, shutdown, and improvement work to maintain output, alongside ongoing investment in the plant's future. This results in evolving challenges for the maintenance and engineering teams as the plant scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities, shutdowns, and planning
  • Working across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
  • Using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to plan, prioritise, and track work
  • Supporting plant improvements and reliability initiatives
  • Ensuring all work meets regulatory and safety requirements
  • Supporting reporting, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Driving maintenance performance, safety, and compliance standards

Requirements:

  • Background in instrumentation or electrical at NVQ/apprenticeship level
