Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical design deliverables including single line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and equipment layouts
- Develop supporting documentation including bills of materials and design packs
- Take a lead designer role across projects and proposals
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers
- Review and check designs to ensure quality and compliance
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver coordinated design solutions
- Ensure all designs are safe, practical, and fit for purpose
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer across infrastructure or industrial projects
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling tools
- Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and legislation
- Experience across multiple stages of the project lifecycle
- Good communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels
- HNC/HND, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification
- Professional accreditation or working towards it is desirable
